July Temperature Blanket Update

"Ohhhhh... We're halfway there!"

Crazy isn't it?! How is it already July?

For me that means that I'm six months into the temperature blanket and only have six more months to go! (It also means that summer is halfway over, and well... I just don't want to talk about that quite yet. Kind of like the Christmas decor out in Hobby Lobby already. I mean, seriously?)

Anyways, here is the progress shot so far!

This spring I got behind... if you are a teacher you, you get it. I just wasn't able to keep up the daily crocheting with all the extra after school activities.

So here in the last several days I really had to buckle down and crochet 8 rows each day. After 3 hours each day I'm finally caught up to the first of July and excited to see new colors added. As you can see, the Kansas summer took over... for 18 days straight!

I'm hoping that once I add more rows that it won't look so weird with one solid chunk of color, but I'm mostly surprised that we haven't reached 100 degrees yet! I believe that we have, but remember, I record the temperature each day at 3:30 PM. There were multiple 99's that earned a groan from me. I was wanting a change of color and the dark teal is just beautiful. It sounds like that should happen soon enough though.

I'm also excited to see how the colors transition back down, but the year could slow down a bit because I have no clue what I'm doing with the lose ends and border! Any advice in those areas would be greatly appreciated.

So now that I'm caught up on this project I can start with some others! YAY!!
